Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary to us! It's 32 years today (not yet in our time zone, but close enough)! [By the time this is posted, it's the next morning] We're going to Vegas tomorrow to celebrate (also to drop off our friend from K-town and to pick up dh's sis). yay!! And no questions --what happens in Vegas...

So, I should have a nice tribute here to the man of my life. I'll do my best. I'm sure anyone who reads this knows him anyway, so you all know how lucky I am.

He's a retired cop.

We started dating when he got out of the marines in 1973. We even got our pictures taken at one of those cheesy photo kiosks --

We got married in 1975,

...and had 3 kids

Okay, I'm running out of time. I could say, "They lived happily ever after" but we're not done yet!

I'll post again when we get back---I promise!

Love, Neenee

My Fun Supermarket Trip

Well, I found out how to pick up guys. (Don't worry, I have no intention of doing so.) Go grocery shopping with no makeup on, have really bad hair so you have to wear your running hat, put on a stained t-shirt and shorts, then buy a LOT of steak. Yep, that's the trick. I have never been treated so nicely by the guys in the store (keep in mind that this is still Spring Break and there are lots of college-age girls with bikini tops and low-riding shorts running around in the stores). LOL Artichokes were on sale for $1 each (yippee) and the produce guy was doing his best to find the best ones for me. Then the butcher shop guy gave me a bunch of Steakhouse-flavored seasoning rub for free. The kicker was when the guy in back of me in line saw the steaks and asked if he could come home with me. So there you go.

We've had a nice week. A friend is visiting from K-Town to find a condo here for snowbird & income purposes. He was very happy to spend time in the warmth & sunshine. Oh yeah, and to be here with us :) I've been spending some time at school with Juju correcting papers so she doesn't have to bring them home & throw up on them (as she explained to her students). I'm also working on my reading list. I read "The Hobbit" and now I'm reading "The Fellowship of the Ring." Yay!! Good stuff. Right now the guys are watching -- blast from the past -- American Gladiator! I hear that BDE is discovering the joys of her Mom's old favorite game shows too. Very cute. Say it with me, "pick it, pick it, pick it!"

Thanks again to EO, BFF, Guatemama, and Supermom for keeping me informed and entertained with your wonderful blogs. I will try to blog more often.

Have a great day.
