My Fun Supermarket Trip

Well, I found out how to pick up guys. (Don't worry, I have no intention of doing so.) Go grocery shopping with no makeup on, have really bad hair so you have to wear your running hat, put on a stained t-shirt and shorts, then buy a LOT of steak. Yep, that's the trick. I have never been treated so nicely by the guys in the store (keep in mind that this is still Spring Break and there are lots of college-age girls with bikini tops and low-riding shorts running around in the stores). LOL Artichokes were on sale for $1 each (yippee) and the produce guy was doing his best to find the best ones for me. Then the butcher shop guy gave me a bunch of Steakhouse-flavored seasoning rub for free. The kicker was when the guy in back of me in line saw the steaks and asked if he could come home with me. So there you go.

We've had a nice week. A friend is visiting from K-Town to find a condo here for snowbird & income purposes. He was very happy to spend time in the warmth & sunshine. Oh yeah, and to be here with us :) I've been spending some time at school with Juju correcting papers so she doesn't have to bring them home & throw up on them (as she explained to her students). I'm also working on my reading list. I read "The Hobbit" and now I'm reading "The Fellowship of the Ring." Yay!! Good stuff. Right now the guys are watching -- blast from the past -- American Gladiator! I hear that BDE is discovering the joys of her Mom's old favorite game shows too. Very cute. Say it with me, "pick it, pick it, pick it!"

Thanks again to EO, BFF, Guatemama, and Supermom for keeping me informed and entertained with your wonderful blogs. I will try to blog more often.

Have a great day.

Gotta love those flirty supermarket guys!!!
I was reading in the paper that Arizona hosts a "Kenosha Day" every Feb. in Phoenix. Have you heard of it? Attended? You could get your K-Town fix another day of the year. If you're interested the contact phone number is (602)956-2114, Ray.

That's it, no more shopping alone for her. Who were thay? Do I need to beat the crap out of them? Well, I guess along as the steaks made it home safely.

I love my hot wife....

Wow, this one had me LingOL.

I'm sure that besides your natural beauty and innate charm, it was the pheremones spewing from your running hat. Was it the white grungy one? Whew! Who can resist that one!?! Or maybe the short running shorts?

Hmmm. Maybe it was the steak. Men.

In answer to your question on my "Veeger requires the information": no, I did not stamp the bookmarks. I didn't think of giving them bookmarks until Friday night, so I didn't have time. THAT would have been SO COOL!!! Sorry to hear about Poppy...what is the surgery for????

Congrats on winning in your division! Hercules and I were lucky that we finished our "heart-healthy" breakfast of eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast and jelly" in time to snap your picure at the finish line!
